What we do

SB Race Engineering is equipped with a state-of-the-art Dyno Dynamics chassis dynamometer, renowned for its precision and reliability in performance testing and tuning. It can simulate real-world driving conditions, measure accurate horsepower and torque figures and provide consistent results under varying loads. It enables detailed diagnostics, optimised tuning for performance and efficiency, and thorough testing of modifications, so customer vehicles achieve peak performance while maintaining reliability.

How accurate is a chassis dyno?

To overcome the problems of estimating drivetrain losses to determine flywheel horsepower (as other rolling road systems do), our Dyno Dynamics system measures power at the wheels.

The power measurement system is unique: it uses a load cell with 99.99% accuracy to measure wheel power, as opposed to inertia systems with around 95% accuracy. The system is accurate to within 1.5bhp at 1,200bhp.
