What we do

At SB Race Engineering our extensive engineering experience allows us to create solutions where others cannot. From restoring obsolete components to designing bespoke upgrades, we have the tools and expertise to keep even the rarest cars performing as they should.

Using advanced technology we can 3D scan, CAD model and 3D print parts with precision, ensuring perfect fit and function. When genuine parts are no longer available, we can reproduce them to exact specifications or design improved alternatives tailored to your needs. Whether it is mechanical components, performance upgrades or specialist modifications, our in-house engineering team can design, develop and deliver.

If your car requires something unique, from a one-off replacement to a full custom solution, we can make it happen.

How it is done

01

Why 3D scanning?

Reverse engineering and design call for the acquisition of dimensions on parts of various shapes and complexity, potentially in any kind of environment. For this, 3D scanning was the only option for us. The technology has become more economical in recent years and was clearly the way forward for an automotive engineering company. We have used 3D scanning and modelling to produce special tooling for supercar manufacturers, to design our own parts to overcome design faults in original components, and to reproduce obsolete parts.

02

What is the benefit?

It is not just in race applications that we can stress test parts before production; we can carry out these pre-production tests on any component. As a result, a massive saving in cost and development time can be made on every project. These tests have been carried out on all of our parts, from brake and suspension kits to chassis modifications and engine components.

We have been using 3D scanning to produce parts since 2013. This technology has made the difference between cars being completed within very tight deadlines or not. We have taken on work for many other well-respected companies in the industry and are always looking for interesting projects to be involved with.
